Assessed the readiness of the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Almaty
During a working visit to the city of Almaty, the Minister of Emergency Situations, as part of the heads of structural divisions of the Ministry, inspected a self-protective structure in the Aksai River basin, visited the central base of the Republican operational Rescue Squad, where the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations demonstrated canine calculations, emergency rescue equipment and equipment.
On the same day, on the territory of the Heliport training ground, the head of the department checked the deployment of the Operational City Headquarters for Emergency Response, checked the readiness of forces and means of the civil protection services of the megalopolis, the civil defense regiment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and the organization of communication between units.
On the basis of the landfill, a tent camp has been deployed for the population conditionally homeless, a mobile hospital of the Disaster Medicine Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rescue Service 109 has been deployed to provide medical assistance.
Then there was a visit to the fire departments of the megalopolis to get acquainted with their material and technical condition. The final stage of the working visit was a visit to the renovated Specialized detachment along Ryskulov Avenue, which provides protection for the Alatau district.
Currently, 20 fire departments provide fire protection for the metropolis. For full coverage, in order to strengthen fire safety and timely response to emergencies, the construction of 15 more fire stations is required.
It is worth noting that the Program for the development of the city of Almaty until 2025 this year provides for the construction of 3 more fire stations in Turksib (mkr. The Eastern Gate), Nauryzbaysky (Shugyla district) and Nauryzbaysky districts of the megalopolis (Karagaily district).
The Minister outlined a number of specific instructions, focusing on the priority of coordinated work between operational services and local executive bodies in order to effectively respond and prevent emergencies.
